Hi there,

I have installed VDub and the plugin pack as well. Apart from that, I have a fresh installation of Win XP, no additional codecs installed. While VDub works properly (there are some GUI errors when zooming, but that's not a problem), VE causes me a lot of trouble:

1. When I first launched VE, I got a blue screen and an automatic reboot before I even saw the GUI. Next time it worked well for some time, but after some clicking around I got a blue screen again. This randomly happens when I work with VE, it never happens when I work with VDub or any other software.

2. I successfully used SR to upgrade a video in fast mode. But when I change to good quality mode, VE will not do anything anymore. The progress window opens, but the fields "time elapsed" and so on remain empty. Nothing happens even after 30 minutes (on a viedo that is 80x48 and say 2 minutes long).

Is there anything I can do to get VE to work properly??

Regards!

0. Make sure you downloaded latest version of VE from this site
http://www.thedeemon.com/VideoEnhancer/VideoEnhancerSetup.exe
and not from third party archive where viruses potentially may be found.

1. In WinXP no application can cause blue screen unless you have some hardware or driver issues. Please make hardware tests, especially for your RAM and video card. Video Enhancer does not contain any drivers and doesn't work on such a low level.

2. I suppose you've changed some other options (like codecs etc.), because just switching between two SR modes impacts only processing speed in terms of user experience.

Please try running Preview first. If it works OK, but Start doesn't, then it's a codec issue and you should tweak/change a codec.
