I wrote to you (DeeMoon) a while ago about VDFilter crashing GraphEdit and GraphEditPlus in Windows XP.This has not been changed since my last writing. It would be nice from you to correct this issue since you are still advertising this product which never worked.  Cry

Sorry, the issue remains unsolved because we were too busy releasing a new product (ScreenPressor video codec). We'll try to fix VDFilter this month.

Currently VDFilter works in Vista and Windows 7, but we understand that XP support is still the most important.

Here I am again just to remind and bug you a bit Grin. The June has expired and just now I tried VDFilter in GraphEdit and GraphEditPlus (the lates downloadable version). It's still causing GraphEdit to crash and in GraphEditPlus when opening a VDFilter the window that opens afterwards offers me to choose DLL, AX or OCX file... but virtual dub filters are none of these, they are VDF files. Sure I know you know this, I just wanted to add you some extra drive for resolving this issue. And remember, I'm not buying GraphEditPlus until this issue is resolved Wink

Regards and best wishes in your new projects dee mon

Good news everyone!
We've finally found the reason for the crash:
"On operating systems prior to Vista and Server 2008 __declspec(thread) works in DLLs only when those DLLs are bound to the executable, and will not work for those loaded with LoadLibrary() (a protection fault will occur)"

It's an OS limitation, that's why it worked ok in Vista. New fixed version of VDFilter coming very soon!
