It is amazing, though, that version 1.1.0 installed perfectly and ran without security exception.
Can anyone help me fixing this problem?

It seems to lack permissions to perform required operations with registry. Does this happen if you run GEP as administrator?

Also, I see you're under 64 bit Windows. I only tested GEP under 32 bit..

I deinstalled 1.1 (even deleted the registry entries manually) and ran the installer for 1.2 as Administrator.
After installation I cannot run 1.2 as User, since the mentioned problem occurs.
If I run it as Administrator, GraphEditPlus starts without problems.

However, the rendering of an AVI by selecting "File/Render file..." does somewhat fail:
GEP adds a source filter, an AVI splitter and the Default DirectSound Device, but no VideoRenderer... It is also not possible to run the graph, GEP gives the error numer 8004022F (Wrong File Format).

If I re-install 1.1, everything works perfectly, even on Vista 64Bit. Therefore, I'll use version 1.1.

I'd like to say (in spite of the error), that GEP is a REALLY good program, that helped me a lot in developing DirectShow applications, especially due to the quick code generation! Thanks a lot for this amazing program!

Sincerely

Carsten D.
