We were planning it for a long time but only recently finally got it done. Please welcome the Infognition Super Resolution video resizing filter for VirtualDub:

http://www.infognition.com/super_resolution_vdf/

It is essentially the same super resolution engine as in Video Enhancer v1.9.6, RGB mode.
YV12 support is planned for the next releases.

Requires VirtualDub 1.9.1 or higher. Batch mode supported.

Doesn't work in Video Enhancer as a VD filter, since VE doesn't provide necessary functionality, but there's no sense in this operation anyway. Smiley

I'm experimenting with this new vdub filter in avisynth but i get an error:

script:

ConvertToRGB32(matrix="Rec709",interlaced=false)
LoadVirtualdubplugin("C:\Program Files\VirtualDub-1.9.8\plugins\superres.vdf", "Infognition Super Resolution",1)
Infognition Super Resolution(1440, 960, 3)

Error: VirtualDub 1.9.1 or higher required   ??

What am i getting wrong ?

Edit:
This version don't seem to be on point

enlargement x2 (1440x960) with SplineResize36 (avisynth) (zoom-in)

AviSynth doesn't support required version of VDub API (requesting frames other than the current one). The plugin must be loaded in VDub itself.

HI, I am new here and have a couple questions about this plugin for VDub, first is this better than VideoEnhancer standalone or equal? second how long until YV12 is supported?

Thanks

In terms of quality and speed it's the same as RGB mode of Video Enhancer 1.9.6's super resolution (same code used). However everything regarding reading and writing AVI files (frame rate, sound muxing etc.) is handled by VirtualDub (and VD is really good with AVI).

YV12 support will be added this spring. Probably in March.
