Hello, It seems I am having a bit of a problem with this program. I cannot add DLL or AX filters. I tried the VDFilter for this program and it would not load. I tried other directshow ones and they too do not load. It says that it registered the DLL or AX file when I open it from the ADD filter button but it doesnt show up in the list. I did a filter search and it would not show up for the directory that I added the file from.

Also I would like a little more handling of filters. Some I cannot change settings when clearly I should be able too. Like color space converting or MPEG2 Microsoft encoder.  Huh?

Most probably you just ran the 64-bit version and wanted to see 32-bit filters.
If you're on a 64-bit OS, then there are GraphEditPlus and GraphEditPlus32 exe files and shortcuts in start menu. The former one is 64-bit and you probably need the latter - GEP32.

Note: "Add" button registers a filter and adds it to the list. To add a filter from the list to your graph just double click it or drag it there.

Ah, that solved the problem! Thanks! Also what if a DLL file is a decoder for something but doesnt have a registerer? Is there any way to load that? I have some other files like a DIVX Decoder but it says it cant register it. Is this becuase it may not be directshow or something? And is there any way to force load it?

If they don't register that means they are not DirectShow filters or aren't meant to register (some application can load them and use directly without registration). Or that decoder can be a Video-for-Windows codec, then it should be registered differently - via .inf file and/or registry tweaking. In any case GEP is helpless here.

Is there any way in the future the program could load non-registering directshow filters?

Yes, I think that's possible to add in one of near future releases. Version 1.5 is coming pretty soon.
