Hi,

Anybody know a good freeware screen recorder that has ability to record videos like playing in wmp or internet? I've tried debut but that has too many nag screens and I'm using right now expression encoder 3 screen capture but that only records smooth video if you set the bitrate to around 50000, which produces way too big files.

Debut works on third party codecs mostly. I use Debut a lot and I suggest to use AVI with DIVX if you want smaller files and a little more frame rate (Not the best quality though) To record with anything you need a good computer. Your computer has to handle being able to play the content and multiplying that by 3/4x to record good. Screenpressor codec also works with Debut. Besides Big files shouldnt matter. Use Any Video Converter and convert it down to a low sized MP4 or AVI depending on what your using it for. If you dont want to pay any money get Xfire and use the codec that comes with it. Or FFDSHOW's encoder or Camstudio. But you will have to change some settings.
