Hello,
I'm curious if a 64-bit version of ScreenPressor is or will be available. The 32-bit version works well for capture, but I can't edit with it in my NLE--Premiere Pro CS5/CS5.5--since it is only 64-bit. I could capture and convert to something else, e.g. Lagarith, but that sort of defeats the purpose.
Hoping for good news--thanks!

Currently we have 64-bit version as a library (for Windows, Mac and Linux) for our corporate clients. We're planning to release it as a codec too for wide audience soon.

Thanks Dee Mon--that's good to hear. Asking the unanswerable: how soon is "soon"? If I were to purchase the 32-bit version now, so that I can do my captures and convert to a 64-bit codec for editing, will the 64-bit version be available as a complimentary upgrade/update to the 32-bit version? Thanks again!

Unanswerable indeed. Probably this month. Yes, such "upgrade" will be free.

Is the 64-bit version of ScreenPressor ever going to come to life? My editing software requires a 64-bit codec, so while I could capture in 32-bit and then convert to something else 64-bit for editing, that's a little pointless.
Thanks.

Actually it's ready for quite a while but not announced yet. Download and unpack this archive http://www.infognition.com/ScreenPressor/ScreenPressor64.zipthen right click the inf file and select Install. This is a 64-bit Video for Windows version. Works fine in VirtualDub 64-bit, not so much tested in other apps.

We're interested in replacing TSCC by a ScreenPressor, but we need x64 version of the codec together with x86 version. I've installed a trial version and impressed by encoding results using x86 version. When I open encoded file in Premiere CS5 the Preview window is black, it seems that Premiere does't see ScreenPressor x64 codec. Tried to install x64 version from the URL http://www.infognition.com/ScreenPressor/ScreenPressor64.zip but the result is the same. I have following questions to tech support: 1. Is it right that evaluation version installator installs both x86 and x64 codecs on x64 PC? 2. Is it possible to make the codec to work in Premiere CS5? Thanks!

The default installer only installs x86 codec. 64-bit version above must be installed manually. We'll investigate the question with Premiere, it has always been picky about VfW codecs.

Thank you, Dee Mon. Please send me an e-mail when it will be possible to use the codec with Premiere CS5, so we will try and consider a license ordering. BTW, when we tried other codecs they deploy both x86 and x64 files in a system when you run the installation, so it makes sense to update your installer as well, otherwise info on the site about x64 support looks confusing.

Ditto to what ivin said: the 64-bit version of ScreenPressor is a no-go in Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5.5. I know it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, but other codecs like Lagarith and Ut Video Codec all work fine with the screen recording application I'm using and they import and edit perfectly in PPro. My recordings are pretty short, so I'll stick with those codecs until ScreenPressor works.

I have the same situation - tried Lagarith and ScreenPressor to choose the codec that will be used to store raw files. I have better results with ScreenPressor - that's why I'm waiting for 64-bit version. Are there any chances to get it in the near future?

Version 2.2 is out: http://www.infognition.com/ScreenPressor/ScreenPressor64.zipNow it seems to work fine in Adobe Premiere Pro (tested in CS 5.0). There is actually a bug in Premiere: when it feeds a compressed frame to decoder it doesn't tell if the frame is not a key frame. So ScreenPressor tried to decompress some delta frames as if they were key frames which caused crashes. Now ScreenPressor infers frame type from the compressed data itself and works more stable in buggy apps like Premiere.

Thank you! The version 2.2 seems to work OK with Premiere Pro CS5. Going to place an order for ScreenPressor codec at start on the next year. Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year!
