Windows 8 hasn't been released yet but for some, leaked windows 8 builds are obtainable.
I have probably (haven't checked) the latest leaked build of windows 8, it is considered to be the Milestone 3 build 7989 and is a 64 bit variant of the windows 8 operating system (as 32 bits windows 8 is almost assured).
I've installed video enhancer on it to see how it would perform, and from the similarities windows 8 has with windows 7 and previous windows version that video enhancer was functional on it was to no surprise if it would function in this version as well.
The first thing to notice about windows 8 is the new "MetroUI" and "Metro Theme" (I'm guessing that is what they're called).
Video Enhancer has its own shell/UI (skin if you will) engine so on first instance video enhancer will not have the Aero look, but I will tell that the skins provided with video enhancer as do setting it to "No Skin" are all functional and displays correctly.
As for Video Enhancer's main function (up-scaling with SR) they too are functional. Here is a picture to show Video Enhancer and some of its other dialogs including a "preview window" of SR in Video Enhancer being usable in the pre-build of the windows 8 environment.
