I downloaded the trial a short time ago and so far have been very impressed with it other than one thing.

The program seems to arbitrarily stop working under different circumstances.   At times it has stopped working at the end of the wizard process,  most times it stops when I try to delete a filter from the process list.  Usually I can go through the preview stage fine, so from what I have been reading it is unlikely a decoding problem.

My current system is Windows 7 64 Bit  on a AMD Phenom 2 X4 and a nVidia GT240 GTX.   I have the suggested codec packages installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?   I really like the program but with the constant  "Video Enhancer has stopped working"  it would be pretty much a waste of money for me at the moment.

Can you tell which filter you tried to use and delete? Some filters are not compatible with VE and may cause such crashes.

It happens with many filters,  2dcleaner, MSU Smart Deblocking 0.5, MSU Old Cinema and MSU Old Color Restoration are the main ones.   It seems to always happen after a preview when I go back to try to modify things to see if I can make it look better.   Actually  really odd,  I had loaded up a video so I could check which filters it used with the wizard,  added absolutely nothing else, didn't go to preview at all,  when I hit the x to exit  it stopped working  Sad

That's the same problem I tried to explain before. Video Enhancer is really unstable when it comes to removing filters for me too.

No word on this yet?    I haven't really been able to do any kind of evaluation on this at all yet,  I start working with it  and after so many crashes I get frustrated and quit trying.  I don't have much time left before the trial times out either.
