I also tried to use the filter in graphedit and I can't seem to pull up the properties of the filter- win 7 x64 and proppage.dll in syswow64 didn't help either.

I've just checked, it shows fine there, just right click the filter. But I've got it registered in the registry. Are you using it without registering?

Got it display properties after registering. I had trouble building a correct graph. Do you have any examples of a complete graph with the filter, preferably using ffdshow as well?

So it looks like its actually the video decoder? So it's not good to use a different one like ffdshow?

I followed the above picture using ffdshow but trying to connect avi decompressor to video renderer that didn't connect.

You don't need to bother with AVI Decompressor and renderer. Just right click the output pin of SR and select "Render pin", DirectShow will do the rest.

Hi, just tried it now I use graphstudionext on a virtual machine (virtual box) with the filter, without adjusting filter everything works fine, if choose a smaller resolution it displays a funny picture (split video) and I upscale then the program crashes. Render pin didn't work unless i had a renderer present.

I can't reproduce it in GraphEditPlus and MS GraphEdit. Can you show your graph?

One idea: are you changing SR options after connecting its output? This may lead to such problem. You must first set up the options (especially resolution) and then connect the output.

Yes, it works only when you connect input pin and not by itself or connected to output. I wonder how to do that in kmplayer..

Just wondering, is there another filter or a way to adjust sr filter options even when output is connected? Then I could get it to work in kmplayer.

When output is connected, its resolution is already set. You cannot change it (in most cases).
