Hi, will users of version 1.9.6 be able to upgrade with/without cost?

Just install the new version.
Minor updates will follow soon with new text translated (didn't have time for translations now) and probably other changes.

Thanks, it installed over 1.9.6 just fine. I like the new filter gui, just press install and it installs a filter, great! Even tells you where it downloaded the filter. Still testing program for any new bugs.

I have just downloaded and installed 1.9.7 as an upgrade and see that when I run the program it still displays version as "1.9" in the TLH corner. However if I go to [About] it does confirm version as 1.9.7 Is this the way it's supposed to be? (Win64)

Has anyone else had a problem installing VideoEnhancer either version 1.9.7 or 1.9.7.1 on Windows XP Pro x64?
Error: skinengine.dll unable to register DLL/OCX: internal error: reg.dll failed with exit code 0x80
If I click "ignore" and complete the installation, when I try to run the program it immediately fails and exits (won't run.) Also, I attempted to install in "Safe" mode and the same thing happened.

Got same question by email. I'll repeat my reply here for other users with similar issue:
Try opening Video Enhancer folder in Program Files (x86) and renaming skinengine.dll to some different name so VE would not find it. Then launch VE, it should say it couldn't load a component but then work fine. At least that's what happens in Win7 and Vista, we'll try to check in XP 64-bit too.

The problem was indeed related to skin engine and the fact of windows themes turned off in Tim's system. Here's a version that doesn't use skins at all: http://www.infognition.com/VideoEnhancer/noskin/VideoEnhancer.exe(just the exe, to be placed in Video Enhancer folder in Program Files) If anyone encounters same problem, this one should help.
