DivX 6 refuses to work if output resolution is higher than maximum allowed by its current profile. Each profile is targeted to some type of devices and has its limits in resolution. When you select a profile in DivX's settings it shows what maximum resolution is allowed under that profile. If output resolution is higher than allowed by DivX profile, it won't work - just sit still. Changing profile to unconstrained removes all resolution limits. See screenshot:

Since version 1.9.1 Video Enhancer does it for you, so DivX should work fine now.
