I've just finished putting our wedding video together using Corel VideoStudio 12. All in all I was pleased with the results but the video footage looked a bit washed out and lacking in color. So... I downloaded Video Enhancer and all the various Filters.

I loaded up my very large mpeg DVD quaility file and after playing around for a bit the one that seemed to do the trick was PCVideo Image Processor V1.0a. In the preview window it looked great so, without any compression I set it to go. However after 10 minutes the HD stopped whirring, the time left kept rising and it ground to a halt. Attempt 2 and this time it got 2 minutes in and stopped....

I've checked my available HD space and I've got 8GB for 1:30 MPEG, surely enough? I'm stuck and baffled.

I've also tried using the compressors which has got my even more stuck. A) Whichever one I select, when I press start it comes up with an error message. B) I wouldn't have a clue which one to use anyway. What I'm trying to do is create a finished DVD in the end?

Can anyone help???

Thanks!

Surely, without compression you'll waste all your hard drive very quickly. Video on a classic video-DVD is compressed with MPEG2 - a lossy codec.

You should read carefully this part of the manual:
http://www.thedeemon.com/VideoEnhancer/manual.html#codec

Note that Video Enhancer can now only write AVI files. You can write such file to a data-DVD but not all hardware DVD-players will be able to play it back. If you need a video-DVD, you should seek for some other software for this.
