increased contrast

I am just trying Video Enhancer for the first time. I used the Wizard and selected the recommended lossless codec, Logorithic (sp?). I also used an additional sharpen filter. I find that in general, my formerly interlaced SD footage looks better. However, I also notice an increased contrast, which in some shots burns out detail in the highlights. How can I prevent the Enhancer from doing this?

Try tweaking the sharpen filter (make it not so strong) or choosing another one.
